LUVYA GETCHA

I have to admit, I messed-up with the previous version of LUVYA GETCHA  -  what could go wrong did go wrong, including the upload to Smashwords, which was awful! Still, I learned a great deal, in spite of the delay.  And the book has a new cover that I really love.  During the process of tinkering about with certain elements, I discovered another stumbling block, too  -  LIFE! I started thinking about a TV programme from years back.  I think it was called Colin's Sandwich, starring Mel Smith.  Smith's character is a writer, the main premise being that he can never write, not due to writer's block, but simply because one thing or another always prevents him from getting on.  The phone rings, or someone knocks the door, or there's a power failure, and so on and so forth.  Well, yep, that's how it's been for me, too.  Along similar lines, anyhow. So in actual fact the delay became an even longer delay.  I said to my youngest daughter the other day that no one has ever stopped me from going to work, to my regular job, I'm referring to.  Nope, that always goes smoothly.  No kind of catastrophe gets in the way, not even the minor interruption of the phone ringing.  But...whenever I tackle something even vaguely related to writing...there goes the phone, the doorbell rings, the washing machine explodes, or a load of bats fly into the room...well, a slight exaggeration there, but you get the gist.
Still, I've got a a bit of time off before Christmas, and I'm having a good tinker all round, and that includes updating the cover of MARSHA'S BAG.

I'm happy with that, too.  So hopefully I'll have it all uploaded fairly soon...not withstanding the phone ringing, or someone at the door, or some guy singing his face off outside my local 24/7, or a dog barking all night, or my wife with the vacuum-cleaner, or a truckload of turkeys overturning outside, or the wind making the TV ariel rattle annoyingly, or someone collecting for partially-sighted daffodils...etcetera.
